Lincolnshire’s emergency planning unit have, as a pre-cautionary measure, recommended that we close our academy on Friday 13th January.
We have accepted this recommendation so the academy will close.
The reason for adverse weather conditions is a mixture of high tides and excessive wind speed as well as predicted snow showers, contributing to a tidal surge. This is leading to predictions of overtopping of the sea defences in this area on Friday 13th January.
The adverse weather conditions will affect the east coast of Lincolnshire from Donna Nook to Gibraltar Point.
This is a precautionary decision only. Residents will be updated as additional information becomes available or they can visit the following website https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/lincolnshire-prepared/ for information and advice.
